and it is seen on the national flag. The Radio Amateurs of Lebanon
(RAL, http://ral.org.lb/) will be holding a special event Field
Day operation on 2-3 August at the Cedar Mountains (2000m a.s.l.).

| | "I will be operating in KanKan, Guinea (Africa) from August 3rd to August 9th", says, VE2EQL, John Grow. He has been issued 3XY0D (Three X-ray Yankee Zero Delta). Look for him to be mostly on 14, 18 and 21 MHz and some 7 MHz activity. Watch for activity around 10 to 11Z and again around 23Z until either the bands or the operator gets "too tired". A Kenwood TS-50S will be used along with batteries and "solar array". He'll be using a vertical and 88 foot long dipole. QSOs will be made using pen and paper. Upon John's return home special QSL cards will be created and possibly a Web site with photos. QSL via VE2EQL.
